CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL.

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and we want to keep everyone as safe as we possibly can. We know you have missed us and we have missed you too.

Our priority is to keep everyone safe so prior to reopening the salon we have implemented a number of changes in the salon. All the stylists have completed a Coronavirus (COVID- 19) infection prevention and control course which is accredited by Barbicide, practices and procedures consistent with the current highest industry standards. We have since made a number of changes to the way we operate which you will notice when you next visit.

BOOKING APPOINTMENTS

We will ask for a contact telephone /mobile number, so we can contact you if we need to.

If any of our staff feel ill or have symptoms of COVID-19, they will have to self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean we will have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done for your safety, if your appointment is cancelled then you will be able to re-book again as soon as is possible and safe.

If you or any of the people you live with are ill and have symptoms of COVID-19, please let us know as soon as possible by phone- DO NOT COME INTO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. We have amended our cancelation policy at this time so you will not be charged for any appointments which are missed or cancelled due to illness.

VISITING THE SALON.

For your safety and to maintain social distancing please could you attend your appointment as closed to your appointment time as possible then you do not come into contact with other clients leaving. If you are very late for your appointment we will have to re-arrange.

If the weather is nice please do not bring a coat or jacket if you do not need to, or if you are driving leave it in the car, to help reduce cross contamination.

All surfaces, door handles, seated areas, chairs reception desks and common areas are being cleaned using, anti-bacterial wipes, disinfectant sprays or bleach/water products between each client.

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised using products following manufacturers instructions. All items that are for single use will be disposed of safely to stop any cross contamination.

When entering the salon anti-bacterial gel, disinfectant spays and paper towels will be available for use, if you wish to wash your hands then hot water and anti-bacterial soap is also available.

We recommend that customers wear face masks, if you want to wear gloves that is fine but we also recommend that everyone uses the anti-bacterial gel in the salon. All our staff will be wearing PPE, this may include face masks, face shield, disposable apron and gloves where necessary.

All our towels and gowns are freshly laundered and are washed after each client on a 60*degree C wash.

All disposable items are placed in a covered bin, bagged and removed every day.

ALTERATIONS TO OUR SERVICES.

We have carried out a risk assessment on all our treatments and have decided that that the following treatments cannot be provided until further notice :- Dry cuts, all clients hair will have to be washed to remove any bacteria in the hair before cutting.

Long /medium thick Blow Dry because of the time involved and blowing germs around the salon. We believe that there could be time limits on salon visits.

DURING YOUR VISIT TO THE SALON

We will ensure that we will wash our hands before we start any service according to NHS recommendations. We will make your visit to the salon as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible, if you have any concerns let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

We still accept cash but if you prefer to pay with cards/or pay contactless to limit contact with us that is fine.

All these procedures have been put into place to keep both us and you safe, we will continue to take advise from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

Thankyou for your understanding, we look forward to seeing you all.
